About The Blog
My Story
(the very condensed version)
Years ago, I lost a person who was very close to me, my fiancé. I found that through journal writing, I was able to begin my healing process. Many times, my emotions were too overwhelming for me to process; however, when I wrote, the anger, frustration, and sadness seemed to dissolve, spilling out of me and on to the page. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and my curiosities within our world.

I have also found that in times of overwhelming joy, journal writing facilitates my bliss. The love that I felt could, again, pour from my subconscious and onto the page.

For almost 20 years, I have served as an English teacher and teacher-librarian to students at all grade levels. I have been a source to those seeking inspiration, help, and/or advice for students and colleagues alike. I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I founded writing4thesoul.com with a mission to help others through journaling and releasing emotion. The suggestions and techniques posted here are what I have used to help myself and others begin their healing process.
